Where We Actually Go for Coffee in Bridport

Bridport has no shortage of spots for a good coffee, but there are a few places we always find ourselves going back to. Whether we’re popping in with the kids, meeting friends, or just fancy a quiet moment to ourselves, here are the local favourites we genuinely rate.

We’ve mapped out the best places to grab a coffee on your Dorset day out – take a look at the Dorset Trip Planner…

Soulshine

This is one of those places that just gets the vibe right. Soulshine has a really relaxed feel, with bright, plant-filled interiors and a menu that always hits the spot. The coffee is reliably good, and there’s a great selection of veggie and vegan food too. It’s got indoor and outdoor seating, so perfect whatever the weather. We’ve never had a bad experience here always lovely staff and a little something for everyone.

Goose & Badger

A newer addition to South Street, but already a firm favourite. Goose & Badger is run by locals and has that cosy-but-cool atmosphere we love. They roast their own beans, so the coffee is excellent, you can buy it there too and it turns into a wine bar in the evening. It is a great place for a solo coffee or an afternoon catch-up with friends.

Rise, West Bay

If you’re heading down to the coast, Rise is a must. It’s perched right over the water with views of the river and a really lovely open space inside complete with a gorgeous log burner for those colder, winter days. They have great coffee, friendly staff, and a menu that’s full of fresh, feel-good food (lots of veggie options too). It’s dog-friendly, child-friendly, and always has a really nice buzz. p.s. try the brunch, you will thank me later!

Cornish Bakery, West Bay

This one’s more of a quick stop, but we couldn’t leave it off the list. Whether it’s a walk along the harbour or a beach day with the kids, Cornish Bakery is our go-to for coffee and pastries. The pasties are freshly baked every day, the coffee is surprisingly good for a chain, and the service is always speedy and friendly. A bit of a hidden gem if you’ve only ever walked past it.

We’re lucky to have so many great spots locally, but these are the ones we keep going back to. Let me know if there’s somewhere you love that I’ve missed!

Love Sarah x
