When Emily and I planned our quick Paris trip, we were keen to find a hotel that was not only comfortable, but located in an area that would allow us to explore.
Hôtel Àmoi delivered on every level. From its dreamy décor to its views, it felt like the Parisian stay made just for us. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re thinking of staying there.
First Impressions & Location
Hôtel Àmoi is tucked away in a gorgeous neighbourhood about a 20-minute walk from Gare du Nord, which is ideal if you arrive on the Eurostar. The streets around are lovely: cafes, independent shops, hidden spots. It struck the perfect balance between convenience and charm, not in the busiest, most touristy area, but still close enough to hop onto the metro and enjoy local life.

Walking into the hotel, the pink touches caught our eye immediately. The entrance was designed beautifully and we loved all the little decorative details.
Rooms & Views
What made Hôtel Àmoi especially stand out was how much the room felt like a personal sanctuary. Some highlights:
The decor: soft pinks, refined touches, carefully chosen furnishings. It wasn’t overly frilly, it felt quality and intentional. The view: we had a room overlooking Paris rooftops, and waking up at Àmoi meant seeing Paris in the soft morning light. Those views made coffee in the morning feel extra magical. Comfort: the bed was comfy, the amenities thoughtful, with everything we needed, cosy seating, good room layout, pleasant lighting.

If there was a downside, it was probably small, the way boutique places often are. But everything felt cared for, and attention to detail was there.
Service & Atmosphere
The service at Hôtel Àmoi was perfect, the team were friendly and helped us with directions when needed! Check-in was smooth, our room was ready early and they were able to store bags so we could explore on our final day.

The atmosphere is quiet but alive. Because it isn’t right in the centre of the biggest tourist hubs, you get that Parisian calm at night, but still with enough nearby buzz to make it feel you’re in the heart of something.
Food & Local Eats
While the hotel itself doesn’t have a massive onsite restaurant, its location gives you options, and we made the most of them.
Les Parigots, just across the road, quickly became our favourite for lunch (and dinner!). The food was fantastic for value €19 for a starter + main and so satisfying. The ambience there complimented the Hôtel Àmoi stay perfectly: relaxed, friendly, unpretentious but full of character. Also, after long walks or sightseeing, popping back into hotel-adjacent cafés to rest up was a treat. Good strong coffee, pastries, small bites, all accessible without going far.
Amenities & Extras
Boutique hotels often can’t match large chains in terms of facilities like pools or gyms, and Hôtel Àmoi is no exception. But what it lacked in big facilities, it more than made up for in charm and thoughtful design. Some notable extras:
The décor & design feel curated: pink accents, good lighting, cosy communal areas and a sauna. It was within walking distance to local shops and cafés so we could explore without relying on transport. And I love the location with the windows with a view of the Parisian streets.
Tips Before You Book & During Your Stay
If you can, request a room with a street view. Bring or plan for light layers (jackets, shawls) because boutique hotels sometimes have less powerful heating/cooling; you want cozy in the evenings. Check walking routes to local cafés/restaurants you’ll discover charming gems just around the corner. Use the hotel as a base for early-morning sightseeing to beat the crowds. Waking up early in Paris is truly magical, especially with the views from your room.
Who Would Love Hôtel Àmoi?
If you’re someone who:
Loves a boutique aesthetic and pretty details (think pink accents, curated interiors) Enjoys slower travel, wandering streets, discovering hidden cafés, not being in the absolute tourist centre Values comfort, views, and service more than a big gym or massive lobby Appreciates style, design, photography opportunities.
Then Hôtel Àmoi will feel like a gem. If you’re after big amenities, multiple restaurants, or high-energy nightlife on tap, this might not be ideal, but for our kind of trip, it was just right.
