Cleaning & Kitchen Essentials

Trust us, you’ll be glad to have these ready on arrival (some sites offer a welcome pack which may cover off some of these so check when you book).

  • Anti-bac wipes
  • A handful of your favourite tea bags
  • Ziplock bags for snacks, leftovers or sandwiches
  • Or a Tupperware for snacks to take out with you
  • A freezable cool block for lunches (if you plan to take lunch out with you and not head back to your mobile home)
  • Hand towel
  • Sponge scourer
  • Dish cloth
  • Hand soap for the toilets
  • Small bottle of washing-up liquid
  • Cling film and tin foil
  • Anti-bac floor wipes
  • Salt & pepper
  • Collapsible washing-up bowl (if camping)
  • Microfibre tea towels
  • Mini anti-bac spray

Bathroom & Laundry

These bits make a big difference, especially with little ones.

  • Quick-dry towels (space-saving and fast-drying)
  • Or if you can get a set – Quick-dry microfibre towel set
  • Bath mat (most campsites don’t supply one)
  • Toilet rolls (2–3 to get you started)
  • Washing line & pegs (essential for drying swimwear and towels)
  • Small laundry bag or collapsible basket
  • Travel washing line (some sites do have outside airers)

Outdoor Comfort & Evenings on the Deck

Once the kids are in bed, you’ll be glad you packed these…

Health & First Aid Kit

We always take medications from home with us, don’t rely on the on-site shop.

  • Paracetamol / Calpol
  • Plasters
  • Antihistamines
  • Insect repellent spray or patches
  • Bite and sting relief cream
  • Travel first aid kit

Kids & Travel Extras

These are the things we reach for over and over again.

Paperwork & Important Stuff

Don’t get caught out, these are easy to forget but essential.

  • European travel car-kit
  • Fluorescent jackets for all passengers
  • Your car manual
  • Vehicle breakdown number
  • Bank phone number (in case of lost/stolen cards)
  • Travel insurance details
  • Travel tickets and booking confirmations
  • Passports (have a copy on file)
  • EHIC/GHIC cards
  • Note down the local emergency number and location for urgent care

Bonus Tips

  • Ask at reception when you arrive, often families leave behind condiments, toys, beach bits, and even laundry detergent! Last year we were lent some fab inflatables for the pool!
  • Pack a few extras of your favourite things from home, tea, squash, and snacks never go to waste. We always take the kids favourite snacks from home to have in the mobile home.
  • Check if your site has a Facebook page for fans, sometimes families sell on inflatables etc or offer them for free, so good to check if you need something!
