If you’re looking for a family holiday in France that has incredible pools, direct beach access, brilliant food and enough to keep toddlers, older children and parents happy, Le Sérignan Plage should definitely be on your shortlist.

We’ve stayed at quite a few Eurocamp sites over the years, and this is one we still talk about. It strikes that rare balance of being exciting enough for older children while still feeling relaxed and manageable for younger families.

Where is Le Sérignan Plage?

Le Sérignan Plage is on the Mediterranean coast in southern France, close to Béziers.

The nearest airport is Béziers, making it one of the easiest Eurocamp sites to reach if you’re flying. We hired a car at the airport and were on site in around 20 minutes.

It’s also within easy reach of Montpellier and Carcassonne if those flights work better.

First impressions

The first thing that struck us was how beautiful the whole campsite felt.

Unlike some larger holiday parks, everything is landscaped really well with palm trees, flowers and lots of greenery. It immediately felt relaxed rather than overwhelming.

Although it’s a large campsite, it never felt overcrowded.

The pools

If your children judge a campsite by its swimming pools, they’ll absolutely love this one.

The pool complex has:

• Large family pools
• Water slides
• Splash areas for younger children
• Plenty of sunbeds
• Beautiful planting throughout

One thing we particularly loved was that the splash area genuinely worked for all three of our children.

Our youngest happily played in the shallow splash zones, while our older two could disappear onto the bigger slides and spend hours swimming.

It meant nobody felt too old or too young.

Direct access to the beach

One of our favourite things about Le Sérignan Plage is that you’re right on the beach.

You simply walk through the campsite and straight onto the Mediterranean.

The beach is huge, sandy and perfect for:

• Building sandcastles
• Swimming
• Long walks
• Watching the sunset

Having both fantastic pools and a beautiful beach means you never feel like you’re choosing between the two.

Restaurants

We were pleasantly surprised by the food.

There are several restaurants on site, making it easy to eat out without needing to drive anywhere.

Whether you fancy pizza, seafood or something more relaxed after a day by the pool, there are plenty of options.

The atmosphere in the evenings was lovely with families sitting outside while children played nearby.

The atmosphere

This was probably our favourite thing.

Le Sérignan Plage has a really relaxed feel.

There was entertainment in the evenings if you wanted it, but it never felt like the campsite revolved around loud shows or constant activities.

It felt much calmer than some larger Eurocamp sites we’ve visited.

Things to do nearby

Although you could happily spend a week on site, there are plenty of places worth exploring nearby.

Some favourites include:

• Béziers
• Canal du Midi
• Local Mediterranean beaches
• Markets in nearby villages
• Boat trips

If you enjoy mixing pool days with sightseeing, it’s a great base.

Is it suitable for older children?

Yes.

This is actually one of the reasons we’d happily return.

Sometimes campsites are brilliant for toddlers but older children get bored.

Others have amazing slides but little for younger children.

Le Sérignan Plage sits somewhere in the middle.

Our children all found something they loved, and we never felt we had to split up because one child was too old or too young for an activity.

Absolutely.

We’ve visited several Eurocamp sites now, and Le Sérignan Plage remains one of our favourites.
